On Sunday the Worsley GC team achieved a nailbiting quarter final victory over Dukinfield. The result was down to Ryan McKnight in the last match with Worsley eventually emerging victorious by the slenderest of margins, 4-3.
Team Captain Paul Jordan said: 'To be frank, I wasn't sure which way it would go at the end. Congratulations are due to all the team members for a fantastic effort and we are now looking forward to the finals on Saturday 25th September at Dunham Massey.'
The team are looking for caddies for the finals (please contact Paul at the Club) or if you just fancy coming along to lend your support you will be warmly welcomed.
The team squad is: Andy Cory, Liam Kindon, Ryan McKnight, Jon Lawrence, Rob Brookes, Ray Parkes, Andy Sandham, Darren Summons, Tony Caldwell and Allan Bowerbank

The Ladies Section are holding two Open Team Events on Monday 6th June and Monday 1st August 2011. The Open Events will comprise teams of four, stableford competition two scores to count, maximum handicap allowance 35.9 exact. Please see the Diary Section - Open Events for details and an entry form.
